Sean Scott, CEO

Sean Scott – Author & CEO

After witnessing close friends and his community devastated by wildfires that swept through Southern California in 2003 and 2007, which combined destroyed over 6,000 homes and damaged countless others, Sean Scott realized that disaster survivors desperately needed a roadmap to walk them through the recovery process. And so, The Red Guide to Recovery – Resource Handbook for Disaster Survivors was born.

Briana Scott

Briana Scott – Editor & Director of Communications

Briana has worked for Heritage Publishing & Communications for over 7 years and specializes in editing and creating content of printed and web based materials. Briana also excels in product design, wordsmithing, and product development, all of which is focused on helping disaster survivors recover from disaster events and empowering them with the resources they need to rebuild their lives. Due to her education and passion for environmental matters, she has been instrumental in providing and interpreting information regarding the ecological effects of disasters and adds invaluable knowledge and understanding of scientific processes.

Joshua Scott

Joshua Scott – Vice President of Public Relations & Outreach

Josh Graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a degree in Business Administration and is a Certified Fire and Flood Restoration Technician through the Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Restoration Certification. Josh has spent the last 10 years learning about technology, construction, restoration, and the disaster recovery process. He works alongside his father Sean Scott and is also the CEO of Virtual Imaging Services, LLC, a company that provides the most technologically advanced and interactive method to document homes and buildings in 4K resolution for insurance purposes as well as to document damages.

Josh loves the outdoors, surfing and traveling when he’s not hard at work.

Moriah Scott

Moriah Scott – Director of Business Development

Moriah graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree. She is a San Diego native who is tri-lingual (English, Spanish and American Sign Language). Moriah has spent the last 10 years working in San Diego communities with children of various age ranges who are on the spectrum. She works alongside her husband Josh and father in-law Sean Scott, helping to connect communities across the nation and globally with resources that help those who experience loss during disasters.

Moriah loves reading, animals, cooking, hiking, camping and spending time with her family.

Adam G-VP

Adam Geisler – Vice President Business Development

Mr. Adam Geisler is the Vice Chairman for the Inter Tribal Long Term Recovery Foundation and acts as the Long Term Disaster Recovery Coordinator for his Tribe, the La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians. In 2007, wildfires destroyed over 92% of the La Jolla Reservation leaving a number of Tribal citizens homeless and community infrastructure inoperable.

Spiegel is currently the General Manager & Founder of Public Safety Partners, LLC, providing Innovative Emergency Solutions and consulting services for Futures – Next Generation Technologies, Training, Continuous Improvement, Leadership Development, Emergency Response Plan Development, Mutual Aid Planning, Building Life and Fire Safety, Critical Incident / Disaster Planning, Analysis and Advocacy Navigation.

Mr. Jordan has over 37 years of experience and is recognized throughout public and private industry as a leader in Safety, Security, Emergency Management and Business Continuity System development. He has developed a standard for strategic planning, and instructional delivery that has been adopted by agencies throughout the United States and in 32 countries. Mr. Jordan’s goal is to provide companies and agencies the opportunity to perform their job function in an integrated, safe, and responsible fashion providing protection to life, property, and environment.

Vincent B. Davis

Vincent B. Davis, CEM – Consultant

Mr. Davis is founder of Preparedness matters.org, a consulting and disaster planning company specializing in Faith-community and Underserved disaster planning and programs.He is also corporate Manager of Emergency Preparedness at Sony Interactive Entertainment in San Diego. Prior to joining Sony, he served as Program Manager of Emergency Preparedness and Response for Walgreens Co., where he developed preparedness and business continuity plans and managed disaster emergency operations for the company’s 8,200 U.S. stores and facilities. After serving his country for 23-years as a U.S. Air Force and National Guard Public Affairs and Community Relations Supervisor, Mr. Davis joined FEMA External Affairs, where he led key preparedness initiatives and community relations during hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne. Lisa Ferguson – Web Content Manager

After 24 years working in a Corporate environment, Lisa set out to work independently as a web content writer and usability analyst. In addition to managing and editing the always expanding Red Guide website, Lisa is always on the lookout for new resources and tools to share with disaster survivors.

Anne Filer has 28 years experience in advertising, graphic arts, and marketing. She currently designs and produces the marketing materials and books for The Red Guide to Recovery.
