After a disaster, especially a total loss, it can be difficult for a homeowner to remember the details of the fixtures, finishes, and features that existed inside the home. That’s why we created the Dwelling Inventory of Features & Fixtures, a pre-populated tool to help you expedite the claim process and maximize the benefits of your dwelling insurance coverage.
An insurance adjuster needs to know specific details of how the home was constructed, the type and quality of materials used, and the replacement costs in order to create an accurate estimate of the replacement value. These details include identifying items like the type of floor coverings, window treatments, plumbing fixtures, countertops, built-in appliances, light fixtures, alarm or sound systems, custom woodwork, wallpaper, and so forth. This excel spreadsheet is broken down into a room-by-room format. Once downloaded, you have the option to delete items that may not apply to you and/or add items that may not appear in the list.
